This indicates that service discovery is not working properly on your local network. Typically, we can work around this by manually setting the IP and port, which are included in the QR code.
However, since communication failed even after using the specific IP and port from Windows (via the scan), it is highly likely that the Windows Firewall is blocking the requests. Several users have encountered this same issue and resolved it by modifying their firewall settings. Please refer to this comment for the solution: #3300 (comment) #2446 (comment) |

Installed v1.2.3 on Windows 11 and v1.2.4 on my Pixel 7 Pro. Auto discovery of Nearby Devices didn't work on Windows or the Pixel.
I was able to scan the QR code displayed on Windows with my Pixel, and that worked to list the PC on the Pixel. In the Windows app nothing was listed. I then tried to manually add the Pixel. It lists the Android 16 device, but shows as Disconnected.
Both devices are on the same subnet. Windows 11 via ethernet, Pixel via Wifi.
I also tested both connected via wifi, but no luck.
I have a Unifi router and the network has mDNS enabled.
I tried to follow the link in the FAQ but was unable to download bonjoursdksetup.exe from Apple. I am able to access the Bonjour Print Services download from Apple. Will that accomplish the same thing?
Any ideas?
